I sent a report and a petition to the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Japan and some prelates in mid-July this year. The petition made two requests: a prompt official statement of any views on the matter (the harm associated with Communion on the tongue), and notification of various preventive measures against it. However, as of Oct 26, there has been no response or official statement from them.
I also sent a report and a petition letter to His Eminence Robert Cardinal Sarah, a prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, in mid-September. This petition stated that victims from clergy in Japan beseech the Holy See to save them. About a month and a half have passed, but so far there has been no response from the Holy See.
I’m afraid that the Holy See, as well as the Japanese prelates, will abandon us who prefer to kneel and receive the Holy Communion on the tongue.
Please pray for us!
